Strictly speaking,
masturbation is sexual activity involving only one person. It is
sexual self-stimulation, one of the great delights of human
existence, and relieves sexual tension that builds up over time. Masturbation is not an alternative to
sex, but a complement to it.
But it wasn't always like that. Historically, the myth surrounding masturbation has been skewed
primarily against women. The Kinsey Report of 1948 – the first thorough study of human sexual habits – found that 92% of males reported having masturbated, as opposed to 62% of females.
Somehow masturbation always was and still is considered as a man
thing. But even for many man, masturbation is a subject that is strictly off limits. They won't even discuss it, even if they enjoy a little masturbation themselves from time to time.
It is because socially accepted view on masturbation. Common
misconception is that only lonely and unpopular men and women
masturbate. Wrong.
Remember just one thing: masturbation is what You make of it. Throw away Your inhibitions and prejudice, leave an open mind and enjoy.
